Limited to 71.928fps (x3) in VLC

Regardless of what setting I choose or what show I watch, I cannot get it to play at any rate higher than 71.928fps (x3).

When will this hardcoded limit be removed?

Probably never. Ask VLC devs...

So it something with VLC's code? Do you know where in VLC's open source code it forces it to 3x; I would like to modify VLC myself and recompile it.

I assume SVP also is hardcoding it to 3x? Would you remove the hardcoded limit or provide a variable for me to disable the limit?
