Topic: reinstalled SVP, cannot make RIFE AI engine work anymore

Hello

I have this issue where I reinstalled SVP and when I play a youtube video it will not play via the rife AI engine. It always keeps to default automatic profile of SVP, and wont use any other even if another is selected. Am I missing something here?

Re: reinstalled SVP, cannot make RIFE AI engine work anymore

there's no errors and no useful info on your screenshot... start playback, see the errors if any, select and copy as a text

Re: reinstalled SVP, cannot make RIFE AI engine work anymore

You can switch to another profile from list while playback
If you want to use RIFE AI profile by default then add condition to it.
For example: Frame height <= 1080 or Add scores = 10

Re: reinstalled SVP, cannot make RIFE AI engine work anymore

Alright, I have it set as default profile now via the active playback icon, along with the flags such as score and height, whcih honestly I dont know why that would be needed as I never used them before that I recall, however each time it starts to play, this program called "trtexec.exe" shows up and just stays there, and it never did this before as before it always just played back in real time without this showing up. Perhaps this is the beta or something I accidently installed with the new installation?

You can switch to another profile from list while playback
If you want to use RIFE AI profile by default then add condition to it.
For example: Frame height <= 1080 or Add scores = 10

This doesn't work for me. It opens videos on automatic, even if I set file extension = mkv. video player exact path. Frame height > 1.  Ect. It won't change from defaulting to automatic. I have to change it myself every new video.

Oh same here. I just wish there was an option where selecting RIFE engine actually made it work regardless.

it always did it like this
if not then you used RIFE/Vulkan instead of RIFE/TensorRT

in your log above, RIFE profile was selected by default

Re: reinstalled SVP, cannot make RIFE AI engine work anymore

"16:13:59.775 [W]: Playback [26a50b12]: RIFE for TensorRT works only via Vapoursynth!"

in my log this appears, I use mpc hc, madvr, 4090, NVIDIA TensorRT
If I set the profile to ncnn than it works as expected (except the quality and performance lol)

it works fine when I manually select to use the profile, but I guess devs have some left over code that prevents the profile from beeing used when Vapoursynth is detecte.
How do we ping a dev to fix this behavior?

edit: (I'm a bit stupid and didn't realize the devs are already here)

Make sure only VapourSynth Filter has the "Prefer" checkbox
