Topic: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

I am tired of searching and manual infos, still I don't understand much and no success
I just want to make my custom profile as main, open a videos, get automatic "Custom" profile
instead SVP always use "Automatic" profile, with custom profile I added:

RIFE AI - NVIDIA TensorRT
GPU threads: 4
AI Model: 4.9
GPU device: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4080
Performance boost: Enabled

Extra added:

"Video frame rate" equal or less than 50fps,
"Frame width" is 700px or more

Video worked well with it, no problem, just is annoying everytime open video that
I need switch manually by click from "Automatic" to "RIFE AI", can make it automatic?

I think that I already asked same this similar question in months ago and I can't find
on my old posts, I don't know why, probably deleted? Sorry for my bad english.

Re: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

try to add
Expert: add scores = 10
higher numbers = higher priority

Re: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

I have this setup for 4K Profiles:

And this setup for 1080p Profiles:

It never switches to Automatic for me with these settings.

I use 1080p monitor, no worked 2900, even 999999999999999999
it backs -1486618625, so I tried equal or more of 1 pixel, still no worked
tried equal or less of 5000 pixels, ughhh why this SVP is annoyings me...

Re: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

you're using Avisynth Filter and RIFE/trt doesn't work with it

Re: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

Video worked, just need to make SVP use automatic on "RIFE AI" profile instead "Automatic" hmm

Re: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

why the hell you have ffdshow enabled?

Re: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

hummm, when I click disable it, SVP isn't working, it sees nothing active, I don't know why

Re: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

you either didn't set "prefer" for the Vapoursynth Filter, or didn't even run 'set env. variables for Vapoursynth' from SVP's menu
and you definitely didn't read the manual - https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/RIFE_AI_interpolation - which is kind of annoying big_smile

I did follow manual, like 5x times, no worked even reinstalled SVP program alot
times, same with MPC HC 64x bits, that's why I clicked different options random until
it pop working... but oh man, why is now worked? Something is wrong...
Finally, thank you, topic solved

Re: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

Dear Anthonytonyboy, My problem was kind of similar SVP always changed back from RIFE to automatic after every playback, but after I added a new profile "Copy of RIFE AI engine" and chose this option from the list bellow it solved the problem for me. Hope it helps smile

Re: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

I'm having this issue and it's driving me completely crazy, I can drag the respective video file over SVP with RIFE as the selected profile and it will just ignore that and use Automatic, I am forced to navigate to the drop down menu bottom left and then find the respective video file and change it to RIFE every time for every file, ts a 30 sec process that gets old really quick. I have RIFE as the selected profile and am dragging the video file onto the SVP window. What is the issue and are the devs aware of it?

Re: Making RIFE AI (TensorRT) as main profile instead Automatic

Probably it's a good time to read how profiles work: https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/Manual:FR … _a_Profile
