Issue with Preparing Smooth Playback

Hello,
I'm using a GTX 650 with MPC-HC and have been accessing Crunchyroll via CMD, and SVP has been working smoothly at 60fps without any lag. However, when I attempt to play video files from my computer in MPC-HC, it starts with "preparing smooth playback" and crashes almost immediately. I've reinstalled my graphics driver, SVP, and MPC-HC, and I also tried three different video files and another video player.

Is there a step I might have missed during installation? I recall having to adjust some Crunchyroll settings for SVP to function correctly, so that might be relevant.

Any suggestions?
