Topic: Stretched subtitles when using MPC-HC with blackbars lightning

Was using old MPC-HC and now update to the latest MPC-HC but problem remains. (using latest SVP &addons)

Using blackbars lightning.

Problem seems to happen when SVP kicks in @ the player. and i see the OSD appear.
It seems if i turn off blackbars lightning it stops happening...

It makes reading a big pain.

Any suggested fix for this please?

Not that I know off... I don't think so? Well it clearly happens when using the blackbars lightning function... Any way to find out more why this happens?

Re: Stretched subtitles when using MPC-HC with blackbars lightning

list of filters in use (right click -> Filters)
MediaInfo of the video file

Picture of the filters:

Mediainfo log file exported to txt

Left screenshot has the issue, right screenshot is a file which does not have the issue.
Seems that some videofiles have the issue and some not.

What do you think?

Re: Stretched subtitles when using MPC-HC with blackbars lightning

I think this is because of how some ASS subs are made.
ASS is not just a text strings (like SRT), it's more like a web page rendered over the video frame. If that web page formatting depends on the video frame width then you'll have this "stretching" effect.
