Topic: How to set the default Profile for every new video I play?

Every time I open a video SVP defaults to 'RIFE AI engine' which is unwatchable on my system.
I have to manually change the profile to 'Ignore HFR Sources' every time.
I have searched through the manual and settings but cannot find how to do this.

How can I change the default Profile in SVP settings so that it defaults to 'Ignore HFR Sources' every time I open a video please?

In the Video Profiles tab, the button named Apply this profile IF... on the bottom left allows you to select the conditions for when that specific profile is active. Try adding a random one and it will be listed in that profile. If you go to every profile and delete all conditions, then the last profile used will always be the next one until you change profiles again. That should work for you. If you want a specific profile for a specific video every time, select the profile you want and hit the New.. button on the top right of the window. Then you will get a copy of the current profile. Then, set the condition for File Name or File Path. I never used it but that should help with specific profiles with specific videos.

I'm actually having a similar issue, except the default profile is "automatic". According to the manual, if more than one profile fits the criteria, SVP should use the profile that matches the most criteria. I have a second profile that only activates if a certain word is in the path, but it still uses the Automatic profile by default when I open a qualifying video. I'm not sure what to do here.

As you can see, there's one criterium there - search the path for "Anime".

If I go to a video with "Anime" in the path, the file still opens with the Automatic profile (I'm using the mpv build that's managed with SVP). I can change to the Anime profile after the video starts, but I obviously don't want to do this every time. Clearly, I must be doing something wrong here.

I just did a bit more testing, and I think I figured it out - the "File name / URL" parameter only checks for the literal name of the file - it ignores the path to the file. Fair enough, makes sense.

My Windows color theme prevented me from clearly seeing that the comparator for the "Full file path" parameter is actually a "contains" and not an "Equal to" . I guess that solves my issue, which ended up being a bit different from the OP after all. Whoops. That's why I thought that to get a partial match I had to use "File name / URL". Maybe those characters can be bolded in the UI for better clarity?
