Topic: SVP Refuses to use RIFE AI automatically, insists on using "Automatic"

I'm having this issue and am tired of having to drag video files over SVP and then deal with 4 separate drop-down menus to get RIFE AI to apply to the video for each and every video. I tried selecting Vapoursynth as the External Filter in MPC-BE and it MPC-BE refuses to play any video file "Failed to Initialize Vapoursynth". So the only option get get RIFE AI to work is again, to drag each video file over SVP and then literally navigate 3-4 separate drop down menus as no matter what I do SVP insists on using the Automatic profile even though I have RIFE AI Engine selected at the very top, I have to click on the sub-menu in the lower left hand corner indicating "Automatic", then find the video file that is currently playing, click on that and then "Other Profiles" and then "RIFE AI Engine". It's literally 4 separate sub-menu's and this must be done for each and every video file. MPV doesn't play the next video in the folder, it simply terminates at the end of the video, and all of the above must be done for the next video file in question, you must find the file, then drag it over and navigate 4-5 separate sub-menus totalling maybe 30 seconds of time for each and every file. It's beyond tedious and I have yet to be given an explanation as to why this is broken or an actual solution by Chainik, I'm simply treated like I'm incompetent for not understanding why any of this is required to get RIFE AI to work.

I also have "Apply this profile if" with "video player" as the condition and I have both SVP's bundled mpv.exe and a separate .mpv under the both video player fields:

C:\Program Files (x86)\SVP 4\mpv64\mpv.exe

and

C:\Program Files\MPV\mpv.exe

If I open a video file with MPV nothing happens, SVP is not running, there is no frame interpolation. The only way SVP works automatically is with MPC-BE and then it's the garbage tier "Automatic" profile as MPC-BE refuses to use RIFE AI "Failed to Initialize Vapoursynth".

Really tired of this one, many of us have complained about it, I paid for this software, this should just work, I'm not technically incompetent, it doesn't work and there's still been no fix for this problem.

Chainik?

I just want to click on a video and have RIFE AI to work on it's own, every time.

Re: SVP Refuses to use RIFE AI automatically, insists on using "Automatic"

if you just leave RIFE profile w/o any conditions - it'll always be preferred over "automatic"

Still doesn't work, I've updated SVP and removed all conditions, opening a video file with MPV and SVP doesn't work automatically. The only way I can get RIFE AI to work is still by dragging a video file over SVP. If I change the default video player in Windows from MPC-BE to MPV, even by navigating to ProgramFiles(x86) > SVP > mpv64 and using that instance of MPV SVP will indicate "no media playing" if I open a video file in file explorer. The only way to get SVP to work is by dragging a video file and onto SVP. At least now it's starting said video file without having to navigate 4 sub-menus, it's no longer defaulting to "Automatic" when I drag a file over the client.

Is it not possible to have RIFE AI work just as automatic does by simply opening a video file?

Also, RIFE AI and MPC-BE is still bugged, if I choose Vapoursynth over Avisynth in External Filters the video file will not play and an error "Unable to Initialize Vapoursynth 4.0" is given.

How do I resolve these issues?

Thanks.
